The Allahabad High Court observed that technology is being misused to commit the offence, particularly against women. The Bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh was hearing an application filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. has been filed seeking bail in FIR No.444 of 2020 under Sections 386 (Extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt) and 354A (Sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment) IPC and Section 66-C (Punishment for identity theft) of Information Technology Act, Police Station Shahbad, District Hardoi.
