Jamia Violence: Delhi HC Directs Centre To File Replies Within 2 Days To Petitions Seeking Independent Probe

The Delhi High Court directed the Central Government to file its reply to all the petitions concerning Jamia violence within 2 days. The Division Bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Prateek Jalan further directed the Centre to stick to the said timeline warning of adverse orders. In addition to this, the court directed the Petitioners to file their rejoinders within 4 days of receiving the reply from Centre. The order has come in a batch of petitions seeking independent judicial enquiry into the alleged acts of police brutality that took place inside the campus of Jamia Milia University in December 2019.
